Sometimes while working for San Antonio Magazine I would need to work strictly with courtesy art. With little to no budget for hiring professional illustrators, I would often be forced to make due with what I had. That's not to say I didn't enjoy working on collage work though. It has been and remains one of my first loves. So when given the chance to work on a collage, I would take my time and enjoy every moment of the process. Regardless of how detailed or time consuming it needed to be.
