Having always enjoyed the work of Alex Rhodes, I was excited to bring him along for San Antonio Magazine's 2023 Best of the City issue. Alex was a pleasure to work with, even to the point of being willing to adapt his design a bit when I asked for a change.

His typography work combined with a simple but beautiful photo from Marla Segura of Best Quality Daughter, made this cover what it ended up being. I enjoyed it so much that I had Alex put together another version of the word "Best" for the opener of the feature.
