Fun Things to do Cover for SA Mag

Two month's prior to this cover being released, our staff was all informed that the magazine would be shutting down. Attempts by the owning company had been made to sell the magazine, but nothing had come to fruition. This meant we were certain that by the end of August, San Antonio Magazine would no longer exist.

With that in mind, when discussing plans for the cover, I asked if I would be able to use this opportunity to give San Antonio Magazine the send off it deserved and the opportunity for me to showcase my illustration skills one last time. Thankfully, my lovely team agreed and I set out to make something that was truly worthy of the great city of San Antonio.

With the help of Vann Holmes's photography, we landed on a depiction of a Dia de Los Muertos parade San Antonio's Hemisfair park.
